Our Philosophy

Two Decades of Developing Technically Sound Field Leaders

The LDGA Camps are open to boys and girls of age 10-18 who are dedicated to goalkeeping and striking and are willing to work hard to excel at that position. Designed for the serious goalkeeper and srtiker, the LDGA Camps focuse on both the physical and the mental aspect of goalkeeping and srtiking. Its goal is to enhance each player’s technical, tactical, physical and psychological ability in order to become successful. The LDGA Camp’s professional staff will train and mentor campers and ensure that they maximize their potential and improve their skills before leaving the camp.

In addition to teaching the technical and tactical skills, the LDGA Camps also focus on teaching the athletes to establish a presence and be leaders on the field. Most activities are performed in a game like environment to ensure that the goalkeepers and srtikers understand when to apply the technical and tactical skills.

On the first Camp day, after evaluating their skill levels, goalkeepers and srtikers are placed in groups of 6 or 7 and assigned a coach for the week. Although this coach is responsible for the training, other staff coaches will monitor them and also be involved in supporting them as well.

LDGA’s philosophy is to expose all campers to various styles of coaching while focusing on the same techniques.

At LDGA, we’re proud to support emerging coach leaders in their journey to becoming confident, capable professionals. Many of our campers are stepping into coaching roles themselves, and we’re seeing a growing number explore careers in coaching after their time with us.
